  • REUNION FOLLOWUP

Would you believe I got lost and never found the reunion!!!!!

Drove for 2 hours in circles. At one point found out I was just around the corner from the restaurant (later). I have no sense of direction. Now you may ask "Did you stop & ask someone?" No. By the time I thought about it I was just too tired & went home!

And I think I may try the U.K. one of these days? Not without a keeper for me!

    Agh!

  • REUNION TODAY

Today is going to be a fun day! Meeting with 25, maybe 30 old friends I graduated High School. I'm really excited! Class of 1963, we're all going to look like our Mothers & Fathers.

Will be taking lots of pics. Hopefully I can figure out how to add some to this blog, so all my U.K. & Canadian friends can see a bit of merriment.

Am also on MySpace at:  myspace.com/nomie1201
for anyone interested. Nomie is what my grandchildren call me, if you're wondering.

  • NOT MUCH

to blog about today. Will be going to a Super Bowl Party at Moms later. Don't care much for the football (American) but love the commercials! lol Anyway Mom & a couple of cousins & sister will be there and we always have a good time together. Mom's cooking, YEA!

I have so much fun reading all my friends blogs, I sometimes forget to blog!

  • ON BLOGGITY RULES BY MY FRIEND MENO

What? Someone is complaining about the blogs? Whatever for?

Do they want to read "more professional" articles?

Not me! If I want, I'll read the newspaper, where most everything is bad.

Have met the most interesting folks on this blog. Love hearing about their daily activities. It's not mundane to me. I love hearing about different Countries, seeing the pics, etc. Makes me feel as if I'm traveling which I would dearly love to do!

Like meno says, "if you don't like what I say, leave".

    Simple.

  • IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT & I'M FEELING FINE!!

Didn't get out to the old Southern home today, but will be there tomorrow for training to be a docent. I'm really excited, I luv, luv, luv history. I can just imagine myself running around a Plantation in a hoop skirt & panteloons!! Too bad they don't do that anymore, except for special occaisions. It would be difficult I imagine trying to give a tour, going up the steps in a hoop skirt! WooHoo!

    Wish me luck!

    Hugs to all!

  • IT'S FRIDAY

Most of you folks are jumping for joy 'cause the weekend is here. When you are retired everyday is the weekend. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. It's just that sometimes you get bored. That's what I'm feeling now.

This is just a temporary glich, so don't go feeling sorry for me. Usually I have so much going I can't even find the time to get it all done. It could be I have a slight case of depression. I have dealt with that for years, but am on great med's now. All the same even "normal people" get a little down now & again.

Yesterday I was at the computer all day, maybe spending too much time there, huh. But it's such fun reading all my friends & friends of friends blogs!

  • SNOW STORM IS OVER, YEA!

I don't think we got an inch even! Roads were good, had power so we didn't freeze and no pipes burst. There was enough snow a few days ago for the children of the neighborhood to have snow ball fights and a couple of puny snowmen. Ain't life grand!

  • Have been depressed

Haven't been able to get into my blog till now. Had to cancel my meeting for my group here in the US because we had 2" of snow. I'm bummed. More snow is coming in the morning. All you Canada friends are falling down laughing now, I know. I had prepared Paula Deans' ham for the meeting, turned out great. Now I'll be eating it for a week! Oh well, will reschedule for another Saturday.

My daughter will be heading back up to her sons' house in the North Georgia Mountains, as soon as roads are secure. Really miss her when she's away. We have a love/hate relationship. Cannot wait to get her home, then in three hours we're bickering again!

Hope everyones' weekend was better than mine.

  • Male Menopause

Is there such a thing? YES!  I truly believe this is what my previously loving, kind, faithful, helpful husband must have gone through when he left me.

I forgave him along time ago. It's been almost four years now. I will NEVER forgive the white trailer trash woman (term used loosely) who persued him while I was out of town. Enough said about "her", she's really not worth the bother.

Anyway I moved back to my hometown, got an apartment, (my roommate is my grown daughter) and got my life back. Started volunteering and am having so much fun now. I quite like being on my own. Never say never I know, however, it is doubtful I'll go down that road again. I truly loved being married but at this age I think I'll be rather selfish and consentrate on painting, my children, step-children, grandchildren , great-grandchildren & my other family members, and of course my dogs. I am quite busy and involved.

My best friend, May, is from London and I truly miss her. She moved back from the U.S. about 10 years or so ago. We still communicate and she has been back here to visit twice.

So it's so nice to meet ya'll from the other side of the pond & Canada!
